Last week, some of our students amazed us by preparing a full-scale Chinese and Thai dinner.  It’s incredible how much work goes into such a project, including washing the vegetables:Lotus Roots
Cleaning the fish: Fish kissin
Chopping the duck:Duck Cutter
Chopping veggies:Raw Materials More Chopping
Peeling fruit:Papaya Cutters
Chopping fresh spices:ChoppingSpices
Chopping roots:chopping roots
Chopping thumbnails (only if you’re a foreign chopper!):Dicing roots step 2
Frying:Fryin Taters Chicken Soup Fryin Green Stuff
Souping:Lotus Root Soup
Scooping: Scooping
And finally, presenting some of the finished product:Some of the food
And then, dealing with the aftermath!AftermathGood friends, good food, good times!

Wow! That’s amazing! It’s funny how I instantly knew the root chopper is a foreigner… 🙂

Just in case you were wondering, the cut fingernail was not mine, but that of a foreign friend! Fortunately, we had a few doctors with us.

Such a process! I am not one to enjoy meals with that much prepwork, but I’m sure its fun when you have a lot of people working together!

Awesome—we just had 16 over from our College and Career Class (SS) for a cook-out but yours looks like many folks participated instead of just one cook. So much fun prepping and eating with friends, even new ones. Thanks for the pics.
